Despite all the prevention and control mechanisms in place and the cross-cutting compliance concerns in force and constantly updated, no organisation is immune to the susceptibility of illegal activities which, if not promptly identified, can seriously harm not only the organisation and any individuals involved, but also the public interest itself.
This is the case, in particular, with behaviours that could jeopardise the environment, public health, public safety, consumer rights, that jeopardise the protection of people's privacy and the security of networks, that represent a misuse of public money, money laundering practices or violent and organised crime.
The people who work in organisations or have a professional relationship with them are often the first to detect the existence of illicit activities, or at least to suspect the possibility.
It is important that these people feel encouraged to report this type of situation without fearing any kind of reprisal.
In pursuit of this goal and in compliance with the provisions of Law no. 93/2021 of 20 December, the various companies that make up Topcer-Indústria de Cerâmica, S.A. have set up internal reporting channels, encouraging anyone who becomes aware of irregularities in the context of their professional relationship with any of the Group's companies to report these situations that would otherwise go undetected.
Topcer-Indústria de Cerâmica, S.A. is committed to guaranteeing the confidentiality of the identity of reporting person or company, protecting them against any act of retaliation, investigating all reports submitted and, as a result, acting diligently to put an end to any irregular situation that may be identified.
